Description
In 1967, Porsche responded to a strong demand from its customers. The new S, the 911 L, and the 912 models were enhanced to deliver higher performance, with power output reaching up to 160 hp. The chassis and braking systems were upgraded accordingly to match the improved performance.
It was also at this time that Porsche introduced a second body version known as the Targa—a convertible equipped with a fixed roll bar for added safety. Over the years, various separate elements were adopted for this model: a lightweight rigid rear window, side windows made of plexiglass, and the signature roll bar that gave the Targa its distinctive profile.
